Avery Miles

I am an Actuarial Science student pursuing a BSLAS with a Business minor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, combining strong academics with frontline customer and volunteer experience. I have maintained academic excellence demonstrated by honors including Valedictorian and AP Scholar distinctions while preparing for Exam P and Exam FM.

My practical experience includes multi-year roles in fast-paced customer service and healthcare volunteer settings where I trained colleagues, upheld safety and quality standards, and improved operational efficiency. These roles sharpened my teamwork, communication, and process-oriented mindset—skills I apply to actuarial problem solving and collaboration.

I lead and mentor peers through team captaincy, student government, and club participation, and I bring disciplined work ethic and a growth-focused attitude to internships or entry-level actuarial roles where I can contribute analytical rigor and continue exam progress.
