Audrey Woosnam
@audreywoosnam
Public defender and trial attorney delivering expert criminal litigation and advocacy.
What I'm looking for
I’m a career public defender with deep litigation experience in high-stakes criminal cases. I’ve represented death-sentenced prisoners in federal habeas corpus proceedings, and I’ve handled indigent defense matters across all levels of offense—from arrest through jury trial—while specializing in death-penalty-eligible cases.
My background combines courtroom advocacy with rigorous research: I’ve conducted extensive legal research, argued novel legal theories, and carried cases through complex evidentiary hearings and oral arguments. Without the assistance of professional support staff, I’ve managed large caseloads and organized and analyzed extensive casefiles and dockets; I’ve also developed CLE courses and served as faculty at new attorney trial skills workshops. Prior to law school I worked at Morrison & Foerster as a corporate/transactional paralegal.
