At Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, I calibrated monitoring equipment and collected stream samples for the Beneficial Use Reconnaissance Program. I assessed stream quality and recorded findings for staff review.
At Idaho State University, I prepared plant research samples and maintained a greenhouse for graduate students’ experiments. I also participated in fieldwork involving plant collection, fish sampling, and data collection for state projects.
In the Fish Ecology Laboratory, I performed PCR and gel electrophoresis on DNA samples. For a personal project, I examined efficient protocols for sequencing specific genes in Rainbow Trout.
As a Fisheries Technician with Idaho Fish and Game, I assisted hatchery staff with fish care, water-quality measurements, and transportation between stocking locations. I currently coach basketball at Preston High School, planning practices and instructing athletes on drills and plays.
