What I'm looking for

I’m seeking an internship, industrial practical training placement, or volunteering opportunity where I can strengthen my biomedical engineering skills, gain hands-on experience in medical equipment management, and contribute to practical healthcare solutions that improve service delivery and community well-being.

At Muhimbili Orthopedic Institute (MOI) and MUHAS Laboratories, I carried out supervised inspection and preventive maintenance of medical equipment, including testing, cleaning, and basic servicing. I also assisted in troubleshooting ventilation output, pressure measurement, and suction system faults.

I worked with MRI systems, X-ray equipment, patient monitors, anesthesia machines, infusion machines, and syringe pumps. This practical exposure strengthened my understanding of equipment safety and the importance of reliable devices in patient care.

On the Smart Suction Jar Monitoring System project, I designed system logic using an Arduino Uno, ultrasonic sensor, LEDs, a buzzer, and a 16 × 2 LCD display to indicate fluid level and alert when the jar reaches a set threshold. I also contributed to the concept of an affordable, portable, battery-powered neural muscular stimulator for rehabilitation.

As leader of Mwanachuo Mwekezaji, I lead a student initiative focused on financial literacy and investment awareness. I’m seeking an internship, industrial practical training placement, or volunteering opportunity to strengthen my biomedical engineering skills and contribute to practical healthcare solutions.
