At Principal Global Services, I led the migration of a Snowflake financial-accounting platform from imperative SQL to dbt and Snowflake DCM. I wrote the audit and design that won stakeholder buy-in.
I replaced stored-procedure Python and test code with about 130 dbt models and snapshots, combined two data-quality frameworks, and retired 11 Snowpipes. I also built the dbt foundation with SCD2 snapshots, layered models, and reusable macros.
For AWS Glue, I built change-aware testing that checks only impacted jobs, saving about $32K a year. I also created an EC2 test executor that made tests about 60% faster and 50% cheaper, and was adopted by six repositories.
I’ve built AI engineering tools, including a codebase and data-flow explainer used by about 30 engineers, and a production-monitoring agent that triages Teams alerts while leaving every action for human approval.
