I started out as a contract graphic designer to aid with the rebranding of their existing packaging artwork in accordance with the branding guidelines. A role was created a year later into the rebranding project to help assist one of the marketing teams and so I straddle between both graphic design and marketing assistant to support brand managers and sales team with internal marketing collateral.

I was on a holiday work visa in Australia and found a contract job as a Desktop Publisher. I helped with design layout and typesetting of primary and secondary math workbooks. There were over 100's of workbooks that need to be designed and they required an extra set of hands to help layout the workbooks and prepare them for print.

Designing and updating annual marketing collateral: catalogues, flyers, brochures etc. Conceptualizing with Art Director mockups for product packaging design. Occasional photoshop image retouching for catalogue, and company website. Preparing "Print Ready" artwork for print suppliers and reviewing print proofs.

Typesetting and layout design changes were done in accordance with Standard Life's branding guidelines, with awareness of it's confidential content. Proofreading design layouts and artwork before sending to print. Primary liaison between clients and prent vendors, using Standard Life's proprietary online workflow management system.
