What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can combine CAD design with shop-floor manufacturing execution—using GD&T, DFM, and inspection practices—to deliver production-ready documentation and improve uptime through practical maintenance and troubleshooting.

I’m a mechanical engineer with 5+ years of combined experience across mechanical design, manufacturing, machine assembly, maintenance, and CNC operations. I’m proficient in SolidWorks (CSWA) and 3D CAD workflows, and I use GD&T, DFM, and reverse engineering to produce engineering drawings and manufacturing-ready documentation.

In my recent CNC machinist role in Welland, ON, I setup and operate CNC/manual processes while maintaining tight tolerances and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models to validate design intent. I also develop and modify SolidWorks/AutoCAD models and drawings, create GD&T-based drawings and BOMs, and perform dimensional inspections using micrometres, comparators, and CMM equipment. I’ve improved machine uptime—reducing downtime by ~20% through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting—and supported maintenance-driven uptime improvements in earlier roles.

I bring a design-to-production mindset through engineering projects at Conestoga College and hands-on MEP drafting training, including drone and controller assembly with 3DEXPERIENCE/PDM version control, tooling/mold concepts, and HVAC layout work using AutoCAD.
