Allen Buhle
@allenbuhle
Business Intelligence Engineer turning complex data into real-time dashboards and actionable insights.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Business Intelligence Engineer with a BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Johannesburg, supported by strong foundations in mathematics and hands-on analytical problem-solving.
I build BI solutions that move from raw data to clear, actionable decision support. In my BI Engineer Intern role at Empire Partner Foundation, I developed and maintained interactive dashboards in Apache Superset for real-time client analytics, and supported backend work by assisting with authentication and integration APIs using Django.
I also collaborate closely with frontend stakeholders by helping maintain and enhance a Vue.js interface with new features and improvements. This mix of dashboard development and API integration is how I help teams turn large datasets into insights they can actually use.
Alongside engineering, I’ve supported learning and delivery through hands-on technical teaching and tutoring—most notably achieving a 100% pass rate while teaching Arduino programming (C++ & LabVIEW) to final-year students. My projects reflect the same drive: a full-stack financial dashboard (ReactJS/Node JS/MySQL), a multithreading JavaFX group chat using TCP, and Arduino-based I2C and serial communication experiments.
