I am a dynamic and dedicated microbiologist with a passion for research and education, focused on applying microbiology to real-world challenges in industrial waste management. I currently work as an Assistant Professor at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, where I teach General Microbiology, Cell biology, Genetics, and Molecular biology.

My research and teaching experience include a Ph.D. in Microbiology (2019-2024) on an “Integrated approach for bioleaching and biosorption of metal values from mineral resources.” I also served as a reviewer for technical journals, including the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering and Environmental Chemistry.

I bring strong laboratory and analytical capability, using molecular biology techniques (DNA and plasmid isolation, transformation, gel electrophoresis, PCR, protein expression and purification) alongside characterization tools such as XRD, SEM, XRF, FTIR, and UV-visible spectrophotometry. I have coordinated workshops, guided microbiology dissertation work, and contributed to projects connected to metal recovery and wastewater-focused solutions.

I am especially motivated by work that is scalable and sustainable—reflected in my DST-SERB project: an “Innovative Biohydrometallurgical approach to recover metal value from petroleum refinery spent catalyst.” With my awards and fellowships (DBT-SRF, DBT-JRF, and Best Poster presentations), I aim to foster student growth while contributing to advancements in the ever-evolving technological landscape.
