Alex Chong

I built a Python search engine model using MapReduce to create an inverted index and rank documents with weighted relevance and PageRank scores. I also developed a C++ file server using sockets, threads, and crash consistency for reliable concurrent file handling.

I created an Instagram clone with Flask, a REST API, and React, including an infinite-scrolling feed. At the University of Michigan, I graded software engineering coursework and collaborated with graders to ensure fair evaluations.
