Alexandria Beaman

I’m a cybersecurity professional pursuing a B.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance with hands-on experience in governance, risk, compliance, and identity and access management (IAM). I focus on turning control requirements into clear documentation, repeatable workflows, and audit-ready evidence.

At GM Financial, I mapped internal audit controls to the NIST-CSF framework, identifying compliance alignment gaps and documenting findings in centralized tracking systems. I also performed international regulatory control mapping to align Colombia office audit requirements for cross-border compliance governance.

I maintain and update master compliance tracking spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and completeness, and I review and organize security and governance documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory reporting. I’ve also developed quarterly executive briefing talking points to communicate control mapping changes and compliance updates to leadership.

To strengthen my IAM foundation, I built an IAM Lab for Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) (hosted on GitHub), where I practiced role-based access, least-privilege principles, and a full Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) lifecycle including access revocation for offboarding. I bring strong written communication, risk identification, and attention to detail to regulated environments.
