What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can drive simulation-first photonic IC design for quantum light—modeling SPDC, dispersion, and resonator engineering—while partnering with experimental teams to validate results and improve device performance.

I’m a results-driven Theoretical Physicist and R&D Engineer with 6+ years of professional experience in modeling and numerical analysis of integrated photonic systems. My focus is quantum and nonlinear optics, especially modeling Spontaneous Parametric Down-Conversion (SPDC) processes within microring resonators and coupled resonator systems (photonic molecules) for quantum light and frequency-bin qubit generation.

In my role at KFTI (Kazan Physical-Technical Institute), I developed and maintained predictive numerical simulation models for complex integrated photonic circuits and microresonator structures using COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB/Python. I modeled and optimized SPDC processes in coupled microring systems to improve the generation efficiency of heralded single-photons and quantum light sources, while conducting modal structure and spectral characteristics analysis for precise dispersion engineering and phase-matching conditions.

I’m especially strong at bridging fundamental physics and scalable hardware design by translating theoretical requirements into actionable design insights. I leverage high-fidelity simulation tools like COMSOL and Lumerical (FDTD, MODE), and I use MATLAB for numerical analysis of quantum states and post-processing simulation data—then collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate results against experimental performance constraints.
