What I'm looking for

Senior backend software engineering role focused on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, cloud services, and enterprise modernization. I’m especially interested in teams where I can improve legacy systems, design reliable APIs, mentor engineers, and apply AI-assisted development where it adds practical value.

At Smith Johnson Tech, on a State of Utah contract, I refactored more than 80 stored procedures into PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL functions and resolved data integrity issues during an enterprise migration. I also redesigned database-query workflows as REST APIs with caching, bringing large-dataset response times from minutes to under a second.

I migrated 20 scheduled shell-script jobs to Java-based AWS Lambda functions with EventBridge triggers. I also applied OpenAPI 3.1 contract testing and 1Password CLI secret management across environments.

At RC Willey, I developed features for sales and marketing teams, updated cart and checkout processes, and built applications for product updates and supplier inventory. Those efforts contributed to growth in online sales and conversion rates, as well as more ranked keywords.

Earlier, I enhanced AccessWeb and created a Group Benefit Administrator account management system at IHC Intermountain Healthcare. My work has also included Java and Oracle systems for Northrop Grumman, prior authorization workflows at CVS Caremark, and accessible public websites for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
