I’m a Senior Backend Engineer with 5 years of experience building distributed, high-throughput, and performance-critical systems across fintech, crypto/Web3, trading infrastructure, and large-scale consumer platforms. My primary language is Go, and I’ve worked extensively with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, gRPC, Temporal, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and event-driven architectures.

At Hotstuff Labs, a Series A startup, I worked on a crypto derivatives trading platform as part of a small engineering team. I built core trading infrastructure, including a state-machine-based trading server interacting with smart contracts on an Arbitrum-based L3, Raft-based state synchronization, an SDK for external developers, and real-time market-data infrastructure aggregating feeds from multiple crypto exchanges. This gave me hands-on experience with latency-sensitive systems, distributed state, blockchain infrastructure, and production performance engineering.

At Careem, I worked on backend infrastructure for POS integrations, order creation, and real-time order tracking. The systems supported 22K+ merchant outlets and 100K+ daily orders. Before that, at Fi, I worked on financial transaction infrastructure, including Temporal-based workflows operating over large datasets and services supporting approximately 1.5M transactions per day.

I particularly enjoy problems involving distributed systems, concurrency, performance, reliability, real-time data, and system design. I prefer roles where I can understand a system end-to-end, make architectural decisions, investigate production issues deeply, and own problems rather than only implementing isolated features.

I’m also increasingly interested in the intersection of backend infrastructure and AI. I’ve been working with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, MCP/tool calling, vector search, and LLM evaluation, while using AI-assisted development tools extensively for coding, debugging, testing, and code review. I’m particularly interested in applying these technologies to trading, developer infrastructure, and data-intensive systems rather than treating AI as a standalone layer.

For my next opportunity, I’m primarily interested in Senior Backend, Distributed Systems, Trading/Exchange Infrastructure, Web3/Blockchain Infrastructure, Database/Cloud Infrastructure, or AI Infrastructure roles. I’m especially drawn to engineering teams working on technically difficult systems where latency, scalability, reliability, and correctness genuinely matter.
