Abdimalik Abdi

I'm an internal auditor at DeSacco, where I develop risk-based audit plans aligned with IIA Standards and SASRA regulations. I audit financial statements, lending portfolios, member accounts, and internal controls, presenting actionable findings to management and the board.

I've built my finance foundation through accounting roles at Bashka East Africa Limited and All Sales Limited, handling cash flow, reconciliations, payroll, tax returns, expense reporting, and complete books of accounts.

As a Captain in the Kenya Defence Forces, I manage logistics, resource allocation, operational planning, and financial and procurement compliance in high-pressure environments. I lead and mentor teams with accountability, discipline, and integrity.

I'm a CPAK-qualified finance professional with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and an MBA in Accounting in progress. I'm also pursuing the Certified Internal Auditor Challenge Exam pathway and am motivated by governance, financial oversight, and meaningful impact.
