At T-Bank, I owned ABM Chains, a management-accounting cost-allocation product that fed finance reporting for around 140 downstream consumers. I cut the flagship mart’s incremental load by 99.8% after finding that most allocation chains carried negligible cost, and worked with finance stakeholders to agree on the accuracy trade-off.
I built Python data-quality checks to flag abnormal incremental-load growth before pipelines ran, ending a recurring class of multi-day load incidents. I also redesigned the allocation algorithm and wrote the product’s first end-to-end documentation.
As Data Engineering Team Lead, I led two engineers through a parallel-run migration from SAS ABM to an in-house platform, reconciled allocated costs one-to-one, and retired the legacy system on schedule. Before that, I built and maintained finance marts in SQL and optimized loading and partitioning.
At GlowByte Consulting, I owned custom-layer data marts end-to-end on a Hadoop-to-Greenplum platform using Spark ETL in Java and Hive. In a dbt, Snowflake, and Looker Studio project for an online apparel store, I built demand and contribution-margin models to support restock planning and reconciled revenue against the marketplace’s settlement report.
