Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Yard Supervisor to join our operations team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Monitor yard inventory levels, reporting discrepancies and facilitating timely reordering of supplies.
- Train and mentor yard staff on best practices, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.
- Act as a point of contact for problem resolution related to yard operations, escalating issues as necessary to the Yard Supervisor.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in yard management or a related operational role.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a yard or warehouse environment.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and logistics software.
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a yard or logistics operation.
- Knowledge of heavy machinery operations and safety certifications.
- Familiarity with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Experience with inventory management software and tools.
