Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Lead Wall Taper to join our team, responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of wall taping to ensure quality finishes in residential and commercial projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, all while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead all wall taping operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of tapers, providing guidance on techniques and best practices.
- Assess project requirements and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to guarantee quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in wall taping or drywall finishing.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of taping techniques, tools, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience in residential and commercial settings.
- Certification in safety and health regulations related to construction.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using taping tools and equipment, including automatic tapers and hand tools.
- Familiarity with various wall materials and their applications.
- Understanding of building codes, safety practices, and quality standards.
