Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisory Wage and Hour Investigator to lead our team in ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role is crucial in overseeing investigations related to wage and hour matters, providing guidance to investigators, and implementing programs that promote equitable treatment of workers.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Oversight:
- Supervise a team of wage and hour investigators, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their investigative skills and professional development.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance compliance efforts and increase the efficiency of investigations.
- Evaluate and improve investigation procedures to ensure thoroughness and consistency in handling cases.
Investigation and Analysis:
- Lead complex investigations of wage and hour violations, analyzing data and evidence to determine compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on investigation findings, presenting results to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure appropriate actions are taken in cases of non-compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, employees, and community organizations, to raise awareness of wage and hour laws and compliance requirements.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for investigators and stakeholders on best practices and updates in wage and hour regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in wage and hour investigations or related fields, with a proven track record of leading investigative teams.
- Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a regulatory or enforcement agency.
- Familiarity with enforcement tools and techniques for effective investigations.
- Background in labor relations or human resources is a plus.
