Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pile Driving Supervisor to oversee and manage all phases of pile driving operations. This pivotal role involves ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, coordinating with various stakeholders, and driving project success from inception through completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise pile driving operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Develop and implement detailed work plans, schedules, and budgets for pile driving projects.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for pile installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Monitor the performance of pile driving equipment and provide recommendations for maintenance or upgrades.
- Lead safety meetings and training sessions to foster a culture of safety among team members.
- Evaluate and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in pile driving or related construction supervision roles.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale pile driving projects successfully.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and pile installation techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred:
- Experience with various types of pile driving equipment and techniques, including driven, augered, and screw piles.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools for scheduling and reporting.
- Professional certifications in construction management or safety (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using construction management software and project scheduling tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of pile driving equipment and methodologies.
- Experience with data analysis tools to assess productivity and project performance.
