Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Venue Manager to support the operations of our premier event space at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring all logistical elements are in place
- Support the Venue Manager in overseeing staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and venue policies
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service throughout the event lifecycle
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external service providers as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of the venue to maintain cleanliness and readiness for events
- Assist in budgeting and cost management for events, ensuring financial targets are met
- Gather and analyze feedback from clients and staff to continuously improve venue operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in venue or event management, hospitality, or a related field
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service
Preferred:
- Experience with financial management and budgeting
- Knowledge of event planning software and tools
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in event environments
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and venue management software
- Experience with event registration platforms and ticketing systems
- Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment management
