Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Usability Specialist to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting usability testing sessions, both in-person and remotely, to evaluate user interactions with our products.
- Analyze test results and prepare reports summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for design enhancements.
- Work closely with designers and product managers to translate user feedback into actionable design improvements.
- Contribute to the development of user personas and journey maps to better understand user needs and behaviors.
- Support the creation of user interface guidelines and best practices to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to advocate for user-centered design principles.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in usability testing, user experience design, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with usability testing tools and techniques, including A/B testing and user interviews.
- Basic proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
Preferred:
- Experience in conducting usability studies for web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in usability testing tools such as UsabilityHub, Optimal Workshop, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and how it impacts user experience.
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar to inform design decisions.
