Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasonic Welding Supervisor to lead our welding team in executing high-quality manufacturing processes. In this role, you will harness your expertise in ultrasonic welding techniques to ensure operational excellence, while optimizing workflow and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of ultrasonic welders, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of welding personnel
- Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize welding parameters to achieve quality outcomes
- Collaborate with engineering to develop and refine welding procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of welding operations to ensure equipment functionality and quality control
- Facilitate continuous improvement efforts through the analysis of production metrics and implementation of corrective actions
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in ultrasonic welding or related manufacturing processes
- Proven leadership abilities in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of welding equipment, techniques, and safety protocols
Preferred:
- Experience in a high-volume production environment
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
- Certification in welding or related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of ultrasonic welding systems and techniques
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement tools
