Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Triage Nurse Manager to oversee our triage nursing team, ensuring the delivery of efficient and high-quality patient care. In this pivotal role, you will manage clinical operations, develop triage protocols, and lead initiatives to enhance patient experiences and outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the triage nursing team, providing mentorship and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Develop, implement and evaluate triage protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to streamline patient flow, improve care delivery processes, and enhance communication.
- Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
- Oversee staffing schedules and resource allocation to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of strategic plans to advance clinical services.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Current RN license and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a triage or management role.
- Strong understanding of triage protocols and clinical best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Proven ability to analyze data and implement evidence-based practice changes.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Certification in Triage Nursing or related specialty.
- Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment, particularly in urgent care or emergency department settings.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies.
- Familiarity with healthcare analytics tools and performance measurement systems.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and quality standards within the healthcare industry.
