Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Time Study Technician to join our Operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing work processes and measuring time efficiency to optimize productivity within our organization. You will work closely with experienced technicians and project managers, gaining valuable insights into time study methodologies and operational analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting time studies to determine the efficiency of work processes across various departments.
- Collect and analyze data on work performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
- Support the development of standardized work procedures based on time study findings.
- Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
- Document findings and prepare reports to communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and learning from experienced technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with time study techniques and performance measurement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey findings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic project experience in operational analysis or process improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Experience with data analysis tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
