We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Video Editor to lead our dynamic editing team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the video editing team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Oversee the editing workflow, from initial footage review to final delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and creative vision
- Develop and implement best practices for video editing, including file organization, backup procedures, and version control
- Review and critique edits, providing constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the content
- Stay current with industry trends and new editing technologies to continually improve the team’s capabilities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a video production environment
- Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
- Strong understanding of video production techniques, color grading, and sound design
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality
Preferred:
- Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects or similar tools
- Familiarity with various video formats and codecs, as well as distribution platforms
- Understanding of SEO best practices for video content
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Experience with audio editing software such as Pro Tools or Audacity
- Knowledge of color grading tools like DaVinci Resolve
