Role Overview
The Paraprofessional Educator will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development within the classroom environment. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. You'll work closely with teachers to implement instructional strategies, provide individualized support, and promote student engagement, thereby enhancing the overall educational experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities that align with educational goals and standards.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, by providing tailored assistance and accommodations.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support to encourage positive outcomes.
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one tutoring sessions that reinforce classroom learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to develop and adapt learning materials and resources.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in educational practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies.
- Certification or coursework in child development, education, or a related field.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using educational technology and tools to support instruction and learning.
