Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Survey Project Manager to support our dynamic project management team. In this role, you will assist in coordinating survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. You will work closely with senior project managers to help develop project plans, monitor progress, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Support the preparation and coordination of project documentation, including proposals, contracts, and reports
- Collaborate with field survey teams to ensure timely data collection and compliance with project specifications
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, team members, and external stakeholders
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of survey data and deliverables
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for client meetings and project updates
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in project management or surveying
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Experience with surveying equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS tools)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
- Strong understanding of surveying principles and methodologies
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, MS Project)
