Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Supervisor to oversee and manage our fleet of heavy machinery remotely. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment, uphold industry standards, and lead a team of operators across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate with project managers to develop equipment usage plans aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules and address repair needs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and maintain accurate records of performance and maintenance activities.
- Lead and mentor a team of equipment operators, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements regarding equipment operation and safety.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and cranes.
- Proven track record of implementing safety protocols and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with project management software and remote monitoring tools.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or safety training.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment management software.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical operations of heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking and remote equipment monitoring technologies.
