Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Soft Shoe Dancer to join our creative team. This role is integral to our productions, where you'll bring life and artistry to our performances through your exceptional dance skills. You'll collaborate closely with choreographers and fellow dancers to create mesmerizing routines that captivate our audiences.
Responsibilities
- Perform soft shoe dance routines with precision, grace, and creativity during rehearsals and live performances
- Collaborate with choreographers to develop and refine dance sequences that align with the artistic vision of each production
- Participate in regular practice sessions to enhance skills, coordination, and performance quality
- Engage in constructive feedback sessions to evolve and improve individual and group performances
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude during rehearsals and performances, contributing to a harmonious team environment
- Promote the production through social media and community engagement, showcasing the art of soft shoe dancing
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in soft shoe dancing or a related performance art
- Strong understanding of rhythm, timing, and choreography
- Ability to perform under pressure in front of live audiences
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
Preferred:
- Formal dance training or education in performing arts
- Experience in various dance styles beyond soft shoe, such as tap or jazz
- Previous performance experience in a theater setting or similar environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
