Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior SMT Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the assembly process of electronic components, ensuring high-quality standards and operational excellence in our production line.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to assemble electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure the accuracy and quality of assembled products
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues to maintain production efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with senior operators and engineers to optimize assembly processes and improve workflow
- Document production activities and report any discrepancies or issues to senior staff
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of electronics and SMT processes
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment
- Familiarity with SMT equipment and tools
- Basic knowledge of IPC standards for electronic assembly
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of PCB assembly processes and techniques
- Familiarity with basic electronic components and their functions
- Experience with tools such as soldering irons and automated pick-and-place machines
