Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Rotor Coil Taper Supervisor to oversee the operations of our rotor coil tapering team. This role is vital in ensuring the precision and quality of our manufacturing processes, directly impacting the performance of our products. You will lead a team of technicians and operators, driving continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the rotor coil tapering team, ensuring efficient operations and optimal resource allocation
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent quality and safety compliance
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the tapering processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to specifications
- Actively lead training programs for team members on best practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and drive process enhancements
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality control measures, and team performance
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in rotor coil tapering or related processes
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving operational excellence
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems relevant to coil manufacturing
- Experience with quality control methodologies and continuous improvement practices
Preferred:
- Technical degree or certification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with automated tapering equipment and production software systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of rotor coil tapering processes and equipment
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Experience with CAD software for design and process optimization
