Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Revenue Cycle to lead our revenue cycle management initiatives at [$COMPANY_NAME]. This critical role will oversee the entire revenue cycle process, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and maximization of revenue generation. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance financial performance while fostering a culture of excellence within the revenue cycle team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the revenue cycle management team, providing strategic direction and oversight to optimize billing, collections, and revenue integrity processes.
- Develop and implement best practices and standardized processes to improve revenue cycle operations and enhance cash flow.
- Analyze financial and operational performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, clinical operations, and IT, to ensure alignment of revenue cycle activities with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, and maintain a robust framework for risk management and audit readiness.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring and developing staff, providing training and resources to enhance their skills.
- Drive the adoption of technology solutions and systems that enhance revenue cycle performance and reporting capabilities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle best practices.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and achieving financial targets.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and revenue cycle management software.
- Certification in healthcare management (e.g., CHFP, CRCR) is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in revenue cycle management software and analytics tools.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to drive decision-making.
- Understanding of healthcare billing systems and coding practices.
