Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Quantitative Development to lead our quantitative research and development initiatives. This role will focus on developing advanced quantitative models and algorithms to inform strategic decision-making and optimize trading strategies within our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure the integration of quantitative methods into our core operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of quantitative models that enhance trading strategies and risk management
- Manage a team of quantitative analysts and developers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with trading, risk, and technology teams to ensure alignment and effective integration of quantitative solutions
- Conduct research to identify emerging trends and methodologies in quantitative finance and data science
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to leverage innovative technologies and practices
- Establish best practices for model validation, testing, and deployment across the organization
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in quantitative finance, including a strong track record in model development and implementation
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++ for quantitative analysis and model development
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership role within a financial institution or trading firm
- Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trading strategies
- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark
- Publications in relevant quantitative finance or data science journals
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalable model deployment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in quantitative programming and statistical analysis
- Experience with algorithmic trading systems and quantitative research methodologies
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques for effective communication of insights

- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders
