Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Claims Manager to lead our claims processing team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of claims operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and service quality. Your leadership will guide the team in navigating complex claims situations, aiming for exceptional customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire claims lifecycle, from initial report through investigation, adjustment, and resolution.
- Develop and implement claims management processes that enhance operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of claims adjusters and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Analyze claims data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic initiatives to address them.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, conducting audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, legal, and compliance, to resolve complex claims issues.
- Act as a key point of contact for escalated claims, providing expert guidance and support to clients and stakeholders.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in claims management or a related field, with a proven track record in leading claims teams.
- Strong understanding of claims processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience with claims management software and data analytics tools.
- Relevant certifications, such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Claims (AIC).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in claims management systems and software.
- Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies to drive decision-making.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and reporting requirements.
