Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) that meet the highest industry standards while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electronic components into our products.
Responsibilities
- Design and layout complex PCBs using industry-standard EDA tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
- Conduct design reviews and implement design for manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize production processes.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate PCB designs through prototyping, testing, and debugging.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for PCB designs, including schematics, Bill of Materials (BOM), and design specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance PCB design practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in PCB design methodologies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PCB design and layout for high-speed digital circuits.
- Proficiency in EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management in PCB design.
- Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronic components and systems.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with RF PCB design and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Familiarity with design automation and scripting for PCB design processes.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout design.
- Proficient in simulation tools for signal integrity and thermal analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for PCBs, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology.
