Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative PCB Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing printed circuit boards (PCBs) for a variety of electronic systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that support our mission of technological advancement.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex PCB layouts using industry-standard tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCAD
- Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate design performance, including signal integrity, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define specifications and requirements for PCB designs
- Prepare detailed documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, and design specifications to support manufacturing processes
- Review and approve PCB designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide support during the prototype phase, including troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues
- Implement design changes and improvements based on feedback from testing and production teams
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in PCB design and layout
- Proven experience with PCB design software such as Altium Designer or equivalent
- Solid understanding of electronic components, circuit design principles, and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience with high-speed digital and RF design
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
- Knowledge of IPC standards and other relevant industry guidelines
- Experience in the development of multilayer PCBs and flex circuits
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCAD
- Familiarity with simulation tools for signal integrity and thermal analysis
- Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative design efforts
- Experience with component libraries and parts management
