- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen
- Expertise in various pastry techniques, including pastries, desserts, and bread making
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating visually stunning desserts
Preferred:
- Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts
- Experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
- Knowledge of current dessert trends and techniques
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using pastry tools and equipment, including ovens, mixers, and molds
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and kitchen software
