Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Paddock Judge to oversee and ensure the integrity of our competitive racing events. In this crucial leadership role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, fairness, and professionalism in all paddock activities, while mentoring a team of judges and collaborating closely with race officials and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the paddock judging team, establishing protocols and best practices for event conduct and participant compliance.
- Oversee the inspection of all participating animals, ensuring adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough evaluations during events, making decisive rulings based on established guidelines and maintaining impartiality.
- Collaborate with event organizers, trainers, and other officials to facilitate seamless operations and uphold competitive integrity.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior judges, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Represent the organization in meetings and forums, advocating for the interests of the paddock judging team and contributing to policy development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in competitive racing, with a focus on paddock management and judging.
