Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Fleet Owner Operator to manage and optimize our logistics operations while ensuring the seamless delivery of goods. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in fleet management, transportation logistics, and operational efficiency to drive success and contribute to our mission of delivering excellence in service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and route optimization to ensure timely deliveries
- Manage relationships with drivers, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and safety
- Monitor fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to maximize efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams to align logistics strategies with company goals, ensuring smooth coordination across departments
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards, conducting regular audits and training
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to optimize costs and improve service delivery
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a fleet manager or similar role in transportation logistics
- Strong understanding of fleet management software and tools
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with drivers and stakeholders
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Experience with data analysis and reporting to drive decision-making
- Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fleet management systems and GPS tracking technology
- Ability to analyze data using tools such as Excel or data visualization software
- Familiarity with compliance management software and safety protocols
