Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in internal medicine or a related field.
- Strong interest in oncology and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
Preferred:
- Experience in an oncology setting during residency or through clinical rotations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation.
- Research experience or publications in oncology-related fields.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of oncology treatment modalities including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy.
- Proficiency in medical software and electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and best practices in oncology.
