Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Resident Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our esteemed medical team. This role is critical in providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to our patients, including managing pregnancies, delivering babies, and addressing a variety of gynecological health issues. As a resident, you will enhance your clinical skills and knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories to determine obstetric and gynecological needs
- Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for expectant mothers, ensuring optimal health outcomes
- Perform obstetric procedures, including deliveries, cesarean sections, and gynecological surgeries under supervision
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency care for obstetric and gynecological patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Engage in continuous education and training activities to advance clinical knowledge and skills
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX)
- Strong foundation in obstetrics and gynecology principles
Preferred:
- Prior clinical experience in an obstetrics and gynecology setting
- Demonstrated interest in women's health and reproductive medicine
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of obstetric and gynecological imaging techniques
- Understanding of current guidelines and protocols in obstetrics and gynecology
