Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Motor Tune-Up Specialist to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead the motor tune-up team in diagnosing and resolving complex engine performance issues, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement tuning strategies that maximize power output, fuel efficiency, and overall engine health.
- Oversee the execution of performance tests, data collection, and analysis to validate tuning changes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on vehicle performance and suggest enhancements to tuning software and hardware.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians on advanced tuning techniques and diagnostic methodologies.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automotive tuning and diagnostics.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive performance tuning and diagnostics, with a strong understanding of engine mechanics and electronics.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Deep knowledge of tuning software, engine management systems, and performance testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to make informed tuning decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience with a variety of vehicle types, including high-performance and electric vehicles.
- Certifications in automotive diagnostics or tuning, such as ASE or similar.
- Familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle tuning methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in engine management systems and tuning software, such as HP Tuners, EFI Live, or similar tools.
- Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment, including oscilloscopes, data loggers, and performance analyzers.
- Solid understanding of internal combustion engine theory and performance metrics.
