Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure that projects progress on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the construction process, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and enforce quality control measures
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve optimal outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, fostering a collaborative working environment
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns proactively
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Preferred:
- Experience with remote project management tools and construction management software
- Certifications such as LEED AP or PMP
- Experience in sustainable building practices and energy-efficient design
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD and other design software
- Experience with budgeting and financial management tools
