Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Director of Mental Health Services to lead and innovate our mental health initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and execution of strategic programs that enhance mental health access and improve outcomes for diverse populations. You will leverage your expertise to shape policy, advocate for systemic changes, and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to establish a culture of mental wellness throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and implementation of comprehensive mental health services that align with organizational goals.
- Oversee program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and innovation.
- Advocate for best practices in mental health care and represent the organization in relevant community and governmental initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and accessibility.
- Monitor trends in mental health care and policy, ensuring the organization adapts to changing needs and regulations.
- Implement data-driven approaches to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making processes.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mental health services, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and managing mental health programs and services.
- Strong understanding of mental health policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse groups.
Preferred:
- Doctoral degree in a related field (e.g., PsyD, PhD) or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a fully remote or hybrid environment.
- Familiarity with telehealth services and digital mental health solutions.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in mental health assessment tools and evidence-based practices.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management.
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms and technologies.
