Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Marine Oil Terminal Superintendent to support our operations at the marine oil terminal. In this pivotal role, you'll assist in overseeing the safe and efficient loading and unloading of oil and petroleum products, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily terminal operations, focusing on the safe and efficient loading and unloading of marine vessels
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety and environmental policies, conducting regular inspections and audits
- Collaborate with marine crews and shore-side operations to ensure smooth logistical coordination
- Participate in incident investigations and develop action plans to prevent recurrence
- Support the implementation of terminal improvement initiatives and operational best practices
- Train and mentor junior staff on safety procedures and operational standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in marine operations or terminal management
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance
Preferred:
- Experience with oil and gas terminal operations
- Familiarity with marine logistics and cargo handling procedures
- Certifications related to marine safety and environmental management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in terminal management software and operational reporting tools
- Knowledge of marine loading and unloading equipment
- Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards

Location
This position will require a hybrid work arrangement, with candidates expected to work from the terminal at least 3 days a week.
