Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Assistant Management Information Systems Director to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will help shape the direction of our information systems strategy, ensuring the optimal integration of technology and business processes to drive operational excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in defining the strategic vision and execution plan for the Management Information Systems (MIS) department, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide information systems that enhance data management, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology solutions that streamline business processes and improve data accessibility.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to MIS staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of information systems and technology investments.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in management information systems, IT leadership, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, project management, and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security protocols, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and business intelligence tools.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale technology projects.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or similar.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java is a plus.
