Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Review Manager to lead our loan review processes. This critical role involves assessing the quality and compliance of our lending portfolio, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and identifying areas for improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our lending practices and mitigate risks associated with loan underwriting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the loan review process, ensuring all loans are evaluated for compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and implement robust loan review procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough reviews of loan files, identifying discrepancies and areas of concern, and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with underwriting and risk management teams to address identified issues and ensure prompt resolution.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on loan review findings and present insights to senior management.
- Lead training sessions for staff on loan review standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in loan review, credit analysis, or related field within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to analyze complex loan documentation and assess risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly and effectively.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with loan origination systems and compliance software.
- Certification in credit analysis or loan review (e.g., CMB, CCRA) is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with loan processing systems and compliance tools.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting software.
