Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished academic leader for the position of Endowed Chair in Labor Law. This role is integral to advancing our institution's commitment to excellence in legal education and scholarship, particularly in the field of labor law. Responsibilities
- Conduct and publish pioneering research in labor law, contributing to scholarly discourse and influencing policy at local, national, and international levels.
- Teach graduate-level courses in labor law, employing diverse pedagogical methods to foster a deep understanding of legal principles and their application in real-world contexts.
- Supervise and mentor graduate students, encouraging their professional development and scholarly pursuits.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary approaches to labor law and related fields.
- Engage with the legal community, policymakers, and practitioners to disseminate research findings and promote best practices in labor law.
- Participate in institutional governance and contribute to the strategic direction of the law school.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. or J.D. with a focus on labor law or a closely related field.
- A distinguished record of scholarship, including published works in reputable law journals.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience at the university level, with a strong commitment to student engagement and learning.
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and lead impactful research projects.
