Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Kosher Butcher to join our team, dedicated to providing the highest quality kosher meat products. In this role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of kosher practices and cutting techniques to not only prepare meat but also enhance our offerings while ensuring compliance with all kosher regulations.
Responsibilities
- Expertly cut, trim, and prepare a variety of kosher meats, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
- Oversee the handling and storage of meat products to maintain kosher integrity and safety standards
- Provide guidance and training to junior butchers on kosher cutting techniques and practices
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure optimal stock levels
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies for meat products
- Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the workplace
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a kosher butcher with a strong understanding of kosher laws
- Proven track record of high-quality meat cutting and preparation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred:
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certification in meat processing
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a meat processing environment
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using a variety of butchering tools and equipment
- Knowledge of various meat cuts and the culinary uses of each
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
